First Nations Appreciation
Today, we open our heart in deep gratitude for the land that sustains us.
We honor the Anishinaabe peoples, the Chippewas of Rama, the Wahta Mohawks, and the Moose Deer Point First Nation, who have cared for this sacred land for generations.
With each breath, we give thanks for the waters, the trees, the skies, and all the life they nurtured here in Muskoka.
We send our deepest gratitude to the ancestors who walked this land before us and to those who continue to protect its spirit.
We also hold in our heart the children who suffered in residential schools, sending love to the survivors, their families, and the spirits of those who never returned home.
We are grateful for the resilience of Indigenous peoples and their teachings, which guide us toward healing and reconciliation.
May our actions honor this land and its original stewards, and may we contribute to a future built on respect, compassion and harmony.
Today and every day, we walk with gratitude for this land and all who call it home.
